De luffa’s komen uit Italië. Dichterbij kan je ze niet halen 😉! Ze worden gekweekt door Marco:

“At least 3 years ago, a friend from Brazil brought me a few luffa seeds and a little for play and a little bit of curiosity I tried to sow by controlling temperatures in the greenhouse and irrigating the best way, the result you know it. I am very happy with this plant that can thoroughly clean our skin and not only but it can be useful to re-activate the leg circulation and also useful in the kitchen to wash the dishes without having to use chemical sponges that will one day pollute and become a rejection, while the luffa, being organic, will return to our Mother Earth without any environmental impact. Cultivation every year has grown, but always cured and not excessive, I like to follow synergistic method among plants with attention to permaculture and biodynamics. I have no certification because I do not believe it, I prefer to do things to the utmost respect of nature, without exploiting, but with slow and love. I join the Participant Warranty System (IFOAM 2008 – International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) “Participating guarantee systems are quality assurance systems that act on a local basis; the verification of producers involves the active participation of stakeholders and is built on trust, social networks and knowledge exchange.”

I’ve been looking for myself until the day, about 15 years ago, that I started cultivating herbal plants and transforming them into natural soaps, oleols, oils, ointments, creams to cure our skin and cuddle our soul
luffa for example cultivate synergistically together with other plants, mulching with mulching by cutting and adding straw and organic manure, following biodinamic expierence. We live 15 km from San Gimignano, in the hills of Chianti, exactly between Certaldo medieval town where Boccaccio and Castelfiorentino was born, on the road from Florence to Siena”
